Our Mission

The mission of the Vietnamese Student Association on the San Diego State University campus is to promote, educate, and preserve the Vietnamese culture. We execute  events such as social and cultural celebrations to become an active organization to serve the larger Vietnamese community.

About Us

The Vietnamese Student Association (VSA) at San Diego State University (SDSU) has been established since 1968. We welcome all non-SDSU students as well as non-Vietnamese persons to join us as general members. We are open to everyone no matter what race, religion, national origin, ethnicity, color, age, gender, gender identity, marital status, citizenship, sexual orientation, or disability. The organization has no rules or policies that discriminate on the basis of race, religion, national origin, ethnicity, color, age, gender, gender identity, marital status, citizenship, sexual orientation, or disability.

We are also a member school under the Union of Vietnamese Student Associations (UVSA) of Southern California and we aim to bring together Vietnamese American students and young professionals across Southern California to build unity, to serve the community, and to advocate for social justice issues that affect our community domestically and in Vietnam.
